Guerrino Guardabassi (1841-1893 Italy) actively painted in Rome and Paris throughout most his life; he trained at the Accademia di San Luca in Rome, and later worked for the Goupil establishment in Paris. Guardabassi is best known for his historic images, portraits and landscapes, which he typically painted in the traditional style of the 19th-Century Italian School. He exhibited in both Rome and Turin.
