  • An original large scale architectural oil painting on canvas depicting the interior of an Italian cathedral by noted and well listed artist Steven Ives. Dimensions:  67.5″ W x 57.0″ H x 3.0″ D.  The nave of a cathedral is backlit brilliantly by large windows, and the scene is empty of figures. The painting is signed in red to the bottom right and is presented without glass in an ornate black and gilt frame. It has a wire to the verso for hanging.

    Stephen Ives was born in England in 1970 to an Australian mother and English father, and spent the first twelve years of his life living on the outskirts of the historic town of Lewes before moving to Australia.  Ives nowlives in Melbourne Australia with his family.

    Ives has had his work exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the world including London, Paris, Brussels, New York, Santa Fe, and Copenhagen.

    His work has been bought by museums, galleries and private collectors throughout the world including Australia, England, America and Germany, as well as some of the foremost art collectors in Denmark including Christian Stadil (Hummel Sport), Lars Christian Brask (EFG International) and the Danske Bank.
