    Max Farrand (1869-1945) was an American historian who taught at several universities and was the first director of the Huntington Library. His particular area of interest and expertise was the Founding Fathers & the organization of the original United States after the American Revolution.

    Condition: Books are Illustrated with steel engraved portraits, views and maps. Repairs to front & rear hinges & light scattered foxing to some plates otherwise internally tight & unmarked. Binding Exterior; Has Binder’s tape repair to spine & edge wear but front/rear cover design blind stamping bright.
