Very Nice U.S. Model 1836 .54 Caliber Flintlock Pistol, A. Waters 1843. In standard configuration, the lock stamped with the Eaglehead Icon and “A.Waters Milbury, MS 1843” along with “JH” stamped at the breech of the barrel. Barrel has aged to a mostly smooth gray patina mixing with dark coloring and minor pitting. The lock is smooth with martching gray patina with no noticeable pitting. The lock works with tight crisp action. Appears to be in its original flint configuration. Remainder of the metal is smooth with matching gray patina and no active rust. The wood is beautifully aged with no visible cracks or cracking, and has two carved initials behind the sideplate. A very nice example of a Model 1836 A. Waters 1843 pistol in its original flintlock configuration. Gun Measures 13.5″, with Barrel measuring 8.5″, weighs 2.6 lbs.
