Marbled boards | The author’s first books. Her husband insisted on anonymity, lest his several daughters be embarrassed by an unsuccessful novelist-mother (Sadleir). His concern was unwarranted: Anne Marsh (nee Caldwell, later Marsh-Caldwell, 1791-1874) went on to become one of the most popular novelists of her time, writing 26 works of fiction and non-fiction during her 25-year long career. Both in very good antique condition. VERY HARD TO FIND SET.
