Wonderful rare example of a East Tennessee Hamilton County Long rifle made circa 1850 | Rifle has customary Soddy iron mounted furniture and a heavy 32″ octagon barrel chambered for .40 caliber.  This is a true  utilitarian example of a Soddy Iron Mounted East Tennessee manufactured Rifle. The action works with a set trigger | The rifle has a iron trigger guard and brass butt plate. Full stock has general wear considering age and use.
