The 6 ½ inch barrel is stamped MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO, NEWARK, N.J. | The 5 shot cylinder has nice engraving and PATENTED DEC. 27, 1858 | Grips are good with only minor scratches from normal use | Action Timing is off and needs to be tightened |There were an estimated 78,000 pistols manufactured. The 36 caliber 5 and 6 shoot cylinders are roll engraved in 5 different military scenes. Barrel lengths come in 4, 5 or 6 inch. The finish is blued except for the frame, hammer and trigger that are case hardened. Brass grip straps are silver plated. The one-piece grips are varnished walnut.
