An 1808 edition of Thomas Davies’ biography of eighteenth-century actor David Garrick, fully titled Memoirs of the Life of David Garrick, Esq., Interspersed with Characters and Anecdotes of His Theatrical Contemporaries, The Whole Forming a History of the Stage, Which Includes a Period of Thirty-Six Years. This book was printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme of London in 1808. Both volumes are fully bound in marbled leather with colored leather blocks and gilt to the spines. This edition is described on the title page as “A New Edition, with Ample Additions and Illustrations, in the Form of Notes.”
