Featured is The History Of the British Turf, From the Earliest Period To the Present Day, written by James Christie Whyte (Henry Colburn, Publisher, London, 1840). This is a two volume set. Bound in red leather, the front covers have gilt decorations, gilt lettering on the spine, four raised spine bands, and all text edges are gilt. A three-quarter bound edition of Century Excerpts, Vol. VI, published by The Century Company includes the magazine for the dates December 1896, May 1897, and September 1897. The cover features gilt lettering on the spine and marbled endpapers. This illustrated volume has a hand-written table of contents. Additional titles are included in this collection.
