  • Remarkable 19th Century interior-scape Oil Painting by esteemed and well listed Swedish Artist Marten Eskil Winge (1825 – 1896) | Entitled “Admirers of Art” | Oil on Canvas | Signed by the artist in lower right with the monogram “E.W.” | Painting depicts a courtly scene of Noblemen and Noblewomen looking at with admiration art in an art gallery or art studio | Housed in a beautiful antique gold gilded gesso and wood frame | Painting is in good condition considering age; does have a small repaired hole in upper left of canvas see photographs | Dimensions: Image only 19.25″ H x 29.75″ W; with frame 26″ H x 36.5″ W.  Mårten Eskil Winge (1825 – 1896) was a Swedish artist especially known for his noble figurative paintings. He was a professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. He was a friend of August Malmström and was influenced by Nils Blommér and Carl Wahlbom. He is associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting.
