A stunning Revolutionary War officer’s sword | Has an amazing original Providence – with a Rhode Island military appointment (with seal) by Gov. John Collins to Major George Waterman of the First Regiment Militia (Dr. Waterman 1754-1829 was a Captain in Revolutionary War from Cranston Rhode Island. The sword is 38 in long overall. Blade has engraved & gilt designs with E. PLURIBUS UNUM over American eagle, WARRANTED, and other designs, The pommel has brass lion head, guard with openwork oak leaf designs.

He was Adjutant General of RI from 1789-1791). The sword is 38 in long overall with darkened 32.75 in. blade having engraved & gilt designs with E. PLURIBUS UNUM over American eagle, WARRANTED, and other designs, about 12 in. from handle. The pommel has brass lion head, guard with openwork oak leaf designs, etc. Very Good overall condition.
